Analysis of the Essential Oil Composition, Antimicrobial Activity and Antioxidant Capacity of Fumaria asepala Boiss. and Fumaria schleicheri Soy.-Will. subsp. microcarpa Hausskn. from Turkey

This study aims to determine the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of essential oil components methanol extracts Fumaria asepala Boiss. (Akşahtere) schleicheri Soy.-Will. subsp. microcarpa Hausskn. (Şahtere) species grown in Turkey. While oils were isolated by hydrodistillation method, analysis these was determined GC/MS device. According results obtained, main component F. is Phytol (20.74%), followed Thymol (20.42%), Benzyl Benzoate (15.89%), Hexahydrofarnesyl acetone (12.92%); It that (29.07%), (19.72%), n-Hexadecanoic acid (11.40%) (10.04%). The disk diffusion method used its effects. above-ground parts showed best effect against K. pneumoniae-ATCC 700603 (25mm), while S. aureus-ATCC 25923 (24mm) pneumoniae (24mm). To their effects, total level (TAS) oxidant (TOS) determined. TAS value extract at a concentration 1 mg/ml 2.8314 mmol, TOS 3.1610 mmol same concentration. levels both high.
